My dear hubby is a computer guy – it wasn’t long before my son began reaching for his keyboard and his laptop.  So we bought our son this laptop when he was 6 months old.  As far as educational value goes – it’s got the standard nice lady voice saying shapes and colors and things of that nature, nothing special there. I certainly don’t expect it to make my little guy super smart. Honestly it was purchased to be baby’s own laptop for fun, so the fact that it’s not going to make my son a brainiac doesn’t bug me. There are other toys and books for that. We just wanted him to have a little fun.  Indeed, He loves it. He likes to push the buttons. He likes the songs and the flashing lights. He likes to wiggle the mouse around. He likes to open and close the top just like Daddy’s. It’s a fun, cute toy. I would actually recommend this for 3 months and onwards. That’s when our son got his and he thought it was awesome back then.
